just got done watching sicko, very gnarly flick i thought. whatever side of the political "line" ( yeah right) yer on i dont see how this movie doesn't effect you. what i really liked about this one is you really come away with a sense of hope, like things could get better. KPFA is not good at that , heh.
so go watch it!!!! or dont, and be a fuckass i dont care.
any comments about how michel more is fat and you dont agree with him and blah blah blah can be directed up yer ass because i dont fucking care.
If you WANT to hear lies than all you have to do is listen to any of the Bush administration propaganda. Anyone with half a brain knows our health care system is crap and should know that BEFORE they see the movie. That being said....rich people think our health care system is great simply because they can afford it. They don't want to hear about how things are going for the rest of us....they just want us to take out their trash and go to war for them.
Draw Rand!
BOF forever!
I'll look into this, then. Thanks for the prompt.
But seriously, sounds like a decent flick, never heard of it so I'll check it out
1) He didn't interview a single American doctor.
-This already shows he doesn't want people knowing the other side of the issue.
2) He didn't focus on the problems of all the non-American systems.
-For example, remember that French dude that got to leave his job for THREE months and everyone was ok with it? And the government used the people's tax money to pay for his lazy ass. Can't you see people taking advantage of this and completely wasting taxpayer money?
He also didn't mention that America has the most advanced medical technology in the world.
Don't get me wrong, I am not defending the American system but it just pisses me off when movie/documentary makes present such a one sided argument. I can bet you anything that thousands and thousands of people left this movie and are now using it as their ONLY source of information on this topic.
Either way, I personally was sickened by the fact that American doctors are paid more for NOT treating patients. That is just wrong no matter what kind of spin you put on it.
still pretty sad that we suck at health care
just PM me
